Description
Ear Reflexology can be traced back to Chinese medical work of 4000 years ago. It is a healing treatment that stimulates points on the ear that correspond to different parts of the body.
It is believed that Ear Reflexology works by directly stimulating the central nervous system, as opposed to traditional reflexology which relaxes the body to allow balancing of the systems. Also unlike traditional reflexology, each ear represents the whole body so only one ear is worked on at a time.
Ear reflex can be used to supplement a standard foot reflex treatment with only a few points on the ear used, or a full ear reflex treatment can be given which takes around 30 minutes. It is a very effective treatment for offering pain relief for musculoskeletal problems – conditions such as frozen shoulder, as well as generally tonifying the system.
