Description
Hand Reflexology – CPD – 6 points (IFPA) / 5 points (FHT)
This course teaches the art of hand reflexology which is particularly useful for clients with problem feet or as a self-treatment regime between appointments. Learning to treat the hands efficiently can help your clients as much as traditional foot reflexology, particularly with aches and pains.
The routine and reflexes are practiced thoroughly so that you can have confidence in this beneficial treatment.
Conditions affecting the hands and nails are looked at, such as eczema, warts, and nail diseases. Contra-indications and conditions that need to be dealt with using precaution are also explored. A refresher on the anatomy and physiology of the hands is also studied, including the blood supply and nerve pathways.
The hands are generally easier for the reflexologist to reach and treatment is excellent for hand, arm, shoulder, neck, and head problems. It is good for those clients who like to have a combined session of foot and hand reflexology and for those clients who cannot have their feet treated.
You will be assessed throughout the day and gain you certificate at the end of the day.
Penny Price Academy also offers other Reflexology CPD courses for qualified Reflexologists.
Reflexology for Pregnancy – 1-day CPD
Ear Reflexology – 1-day CPD

What to Wear?
Students at the Academy are encouraged to be relaxed and at ease. For this reason, it is recommended loose comfortable trousers and tops that enable easy movement and do not restrict the body. All loose tops and shirts should be tucked in to prevent ‘trailing’ on the client for practical courses. Shoes should be flat-heeled and comfortable.
