Description
Reflexology for Pregnancy – CPD – 6 points (IFPA) / 5 points (FHT)
In this one-day course, we look at the many great benefits that Reflexology can offer during Pregnancy during this one day course and common conditions which you will be able to offer help for.
Reflexology can help identify the weaker areas in the body and mothers are interested in how the feet can identify these areas and how the reflexes improve as the weeks go by.
When carried out by a well-trained and qualified Reflexologist, Reflexology is safe in pregnancy and can be instrumental in helping mothers give birth at the optimum gestation of 40 weeks. At term, it can be effective in initiating contractions and labor by stimulating the pituitary, adrenal, and uterine reflex areas.
You will learn:
- How to treat conditions,
- How to give Home care advice,
- Contra-indications and precautions
- Practical techniques that are safe during the different stages of pregnancy and labor
- The benefits of using reflexology with pregnant women to relieve symptoms commonly associated with pregnancy.
You will be assessed throughout the day and gain your certificate at the end of the day.
Penny Price Academy also offers other Reflexology CPD courses for qualified Reflexologists.
Hand Reflexology – 1-day CPD
Ear Reflexology – 1-day CPD

What to Wear?
Students at the Academy are encouraged to be relaxed and at ease. For this reason, it is recommended loose comfortable trousers and tops that enable easy movement and do not restrict the body. All loose tops and shirts should be tucked in to prevent ‘trailing’ on the client for practical courses. Shoes should be flat-heeled and comfortable.
