Description
Neck and Shoulder Massage – 1 Day Course In House – Certified by the FHT and the IFPA
This one-day, practically based course covering the key areas of:
- Revision of the muscles or the face, neck, shoulders and upper back.
- Definition of massage movements
- Scenarios
- Acupressure
- Client consultation
- Full neck and shoulder massage sequence.
Revision of the musculature structure gives a good image of your clients muscles and how they work enabling the therapist to work with the muscles rather than against them, ensuring the client gets the maximum benefit from the treatment.
A variety of massage movements will also be taught in sequence, which can be used to treat your client and conditions they may have, such as Headaches, tension and stress. This massage course is also a great addition for the therapist with clients who would prefer not to get undressed, have time restraints or limited space.

What to Wear?
Students at the Academy are encouraged to be relaxed and at ease. For this reason, it is recommended loose comfortable trousers and tops are worn that enable easy movement and do not restrict the body. All loose tops and shirts should be tucked in to prevent ‘trailing’ on the client for practical courses. Shoes should be flat-heeled and comfortable.
