Hydrolats: Their Properties and Uses: In-House CPD Training Course

£120.00 inc.VAT

1-Day Course – Hinckley Academy | 24th March, 2026

A course beginning with the source of all life, water! Hydrolats, or distilled plant waters, are therapeutic, 100% natural extracts produced during the distillation of aromatic plants, offering a gentle, non-toxic alternative to essential oils for skin and holistic care. These hydrophilic plant compounds provide a mild, effective remedy suitable for sensitive skin, babies, and daily use, bridging ancient healing traditions with modern, natural aromatherapy.

Discover the many benefits and uses of hydrolats during this one-day CPD in-house training course.  These ‘essential’ waters are beginning to find their rightful place in aromatherapy practice, for use on a wide variety of common conditions and for the promotion of vitality.  They are suited for use in all client groups.  Discover their wonderful properties and benefits to the human body both on the internal and external pathways, by tasting them and blending them for various conditions.  There will be some practical blending during the day, and all products made can be taken home.

Frequently asked Questions:

What to Wear?

Students at the Academy are encouraged to be relaxed and at ease. For this reason, it is recommended to wear loose comfortable trousers and tops that enable easy movement and do not restrict the body.  All loose tops and shirts should be tucked in to prevent ‘trailing’ on the client for practical courses. Shoes should be flat-heeled and comfortable.

What do I need to bring with me?

Just bring yourself! We will provide tea, coffee, snacks, pens, paper and the course note books, the only thing not provided is lunch. We are situated close to 2 food outlets that you are welcome to visit, alternatively, please feel free to bring your own food from home and store it in our fidge for student use.

What qualifications do I need to attend this course?

None, this course is open to everyone with an interest in aromatherapy, holistic health and wellbeing. CPD points are only validated to therapists, so please do double check this with your accrediting body before booking. If you would like to attend for your own learning and interest then you are very welcome to do so!
